Originally from Saskatchewan, Rob has been a physician in Moose Jaw since 2014 as part of the inaugural group of residents who completed their training at a satellite site for the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine. He manages a comprehensive family practice at PMC including a family practice, walk-in care, vasectomies, minor procedures, and provision of locum coverage in Gravelbourg, SK. Rob is also the Site Director, a Clinical Assistant Professor and one of the Faculty Advisors for the Moose Jaw family medicine program.
Brent was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. A prairie boy at heart, he completed his undergraduate training and postgraduate medical degree with the University of Saskatchewan. Brent came to Moose Jaw in 2014 for residency training in family medicine and started his practice after completion.
He provides full scope family medicine care with an interest in men’s health, sports medicine and preventative and lifestyle approaches to health. He also provides care in our local Emergency Department. Brent is a Clinical Assistant Professor and one of the Faculty Advisors for our Moose Jaw family medicine program and is very involved with training medical students and Family Medicine Residents.
Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Janessa completed medical school and family medicine residency through the University of Saskatchewan. She is proud to be one of the many doctors who trained in Moose Jaw and who now call Moose Jaw home. Janessa practices full scope family medicine with a special interest in the care of the elderly. She is passionate about providing compassionate and accountable care to those living in private and long-term care homes. She strives to improve access and quality of care for our geriatric population in her own practice but also by teaching our next generation of doctors. As a Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine, Janessa is coordinator and preceptor for a care of the elderly rotation for our Moose Jaw family medicine residents and is also the Site Assessment Lead for our family medicine program.
Danielle completed her medical degree in Cork, Ireland, and subsequently pursued her residency through the family medicine residency program in Moose Jaw. She is now a Clinical Assistant Professor and Faculty Advisor through the University of Saskatchewan residency training program. Her special interests include women’s health, sports medicine, and emergency medicine.
Caitlyn is a Family Physician who completed medical school with the University of Saskatchewan and completed her 2-year residency training in Moose Jaw. She has a full scope family practice with a special interest in women’s health including low risk obstetrics and deliveries. She does lump and bumps removals, contraceptive procedures including Nexplanon and IUD insertion and removals, and prenatal care. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Faculty Advisor and also shares the roles of Academic Half Day Coordinator and Site Curriculum Lead for the Moose Jaw family medicine program.
Troy grew up in Bathurst, New Brunswick, before going on to pursue his medical degree in Cork, Ireland, in 2014. In 2018, he matched to the family medicine residency program here in Moose Jaw. Graduating from this residency in 2020, he decided to remain and work here, as he now considers Moose Jaw to be his home. Dr. Simpson works primarily out of Prairie Medical Clinic; however, he also works in the Dr F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital regularly as a surgical assistant, mainly for orthopedic surgeries. Outside of work, he enjoys playing hockey and golf, and spending time at home with his wife and 2 dogs.
Originally from Saskatchewan, Samantha completed her master’s degree in public health at the University of Saskatchewan. She then attended medical school in Cork, Ireland, and returned to Saskatchewan to complete her residency training in Family Medicine. She enjoys a general family medicine practice in the clinic and spends some time working with the hospitalist service providing inpatient care at the Dr F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital.
